History of Marathon 

Founded in 1978 by the late H Lee Gendler, Marathon Realty Corporation started as a commercial and industrial real estate development company in Omaha, Nebraska.  Marathon originally specialized in build-to-suit for single tenant occupancy.  Marathon extended its development from the corner service station to shopping centers and hundred plus acre business parks.  Marathon owns and or manages over four million square feet of commercial and industrial property including office, retail, sales & service, manufacturing and distribution facilities in Nebraska and Iowa.
